About Me
I'm a freelance photographer specialising in Editorial Portraiture & Headshots. I've been working professionally since 2006 and I'm currently based in London where I live with my husband, two children and assorted cats.
My editorial work has appeared in publications including Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Tatler (October 2013 cover), W Magazine, The Guardian, The Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, People, The Lady (August 2013 cover), Paris Match, LOOK Magazine (November 2013 cover), YOU Magazine, OK!, Australian Women's Weekly, Irish Independent, Us Weekly, The Sunday Times, The Metro, The Evening Standard, The Stage, Deadline Hollywood, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and Screen Daily, with images syndicated internationally.
I am a Director of the Association of Photographers (AOP). Founded in 1968 as the Association of Fashion and Advertising Photographers, The AOP is one of the world's most respected professional photography organisations, dedicated to championing the rights and interests of photographers, and lobbying on behalf of the creative industries. I am also a member of the Association of Professional Headshot Photographers (APHP).
My photographic style is eclectic; I love exploring intensely rich colour and evoking a cinematic sense of movement in my work. My favourite images are those which hold your gaze with a playfully dark undertone. Most clients (predominantly actors) normally begin a shoot by declaring their hatred of having portraits taken and claiming to be unphotogenic (there's no such thing, fyi), so I endeavour to make an often vulnerable experience (particularly for those who have spent years making sure *not* to look into the camera) creative, laid back and enjoyable. If there is any consistent recognisable quality captured in my work I suspect it may be my use of natural light and the engaging and playful energy of my subjects...
