About Me

I'm a freelance photographer specialising in Editorial Portraiture & Headshots. I'm based in London & sometimes Los Angeles or Cape Town (when the British weather gets too apocalyptic).

I'm a director of the ASSOCIATION OF PHOTOGRAPHERS (AOP) - formed in 1968 as the Association of Fashion and Advertising Photographers, the AOP is one of the most prestigious professional photographers' associations in the world, dedicated to defending and lobbying for the interests and rights of all photographers, especially in the commercial photographic industry. I am also a member of The APHP.

I've been shooting professionally since 2005. My editorial work has been published in VANITY FAIR, VOGUE, HARPER’S BAZAAR, TATLER (October 2013 cover), W MAGAZINE, THE GUARDIAN, THE TIMES, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, THE NEW YORK TIMES, PEOPLE MAGAZINE, THE LADY, PARIS MATCH, LOOK MAGAZINE, YOU MAGAZINE, OK!, AUSTRALIAN WOMEN’S WEEKLY, IRISH INDEPENDENT, US WEEKLY, THE SUNDAY TIMES, THE METRO, THE EVENING STANDARD, THE STAGE, DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD, VARIETY, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, SCREEN DAILY and many more outlets around the world.

My photographic style is rather eclectic; I love exploring intensely rich colour and evoking a cinematic sense of movement in my work. My favourite images are those which hold your gaze with a playfully dark undertone. Most clients (predominantly actors) begin a shoot by declaring their hatred of having portraits taken and claiming to be unphotogenic (there's no such thing, fyi), so I endeavour to make an often vulnerable experience (particularly for those who have spent years making sure *not* to look into the camera) creative, laid back and enjoyable. If there is any consistent recognisable quality captured in my work I suspect it may be the engaging and playful energy of my subjects..
